Write an essay on one of the
*Essay Topics,
following the Guidelines below.
ESSAY GUIDELINES
The Essay should be a minimum
of 500 words and a maximum of 1500 words.
The Essay should be completed
in digital format (preferably in Microsoft Word) so
it can be transmitted as an attachment to an email.
All thoughts expressed in the
Essay should be yours and yours alone. There isn’t
anything wrong with quoting material that supports
what you are saying or a philosophy or statement
with which you agree. But in those cases, credit
must be given to the original author of the quoted
material. Here’s an example: “I think that
reaching the rank of Black Belt is a worthy goal.
But reaching the rank of Black Belt certainly does
not mean that one has learned everything and knows
everything about Karate that there is to know.
Master Otsuka even said, “Black Belt is the
beginning of understanding” “
(paraphrased).
That would be acceptable. Plagiarism will not be
tolerated. However, there is no need for any
footnotes and a bibliography.
